Actually, not so much. I'm a technologist for a living and would like to consider myself rather savvy, and yet I still got hit by a couple of viruses recently. I'm not sure why... either some driveby managed to get through on Firefox (or one of the rare instances I use IE) or it got in through the network, but it got me. No more room for arrogance, I'll be running AVG thanks. :)

Uh... not many "servers" (windows or linux) get viruses... Because the people running them usually take measures to prevent such things. If you get a stupid sysadmin behind a linux server, it will likely be just as un-secured as windows.
