Those APCs are pretty bad-ass. I wonder how they managed to pull that off.

Why, yes it is, Captain Obvious
7/8 of the botnet are stupid computer illiterate americans dependent on microsoft and watching to much porn.
I've always enjoyed the name "botnet" instead of "PCs of a bunch of lame fcks who click on every mail attachment/and/or site file and don't have an AV installed" - but i guess "botnet" gives a more fantasy theme to it instead of just blaming stupidity (and its shorter ^^)
LOL AVG FTW :)
It's called the internet
Unlike M$ "operating systems," you simply don't run Linux or Mac OS as root. UNIX-based systems are, believe it or not, more secure and robust than Windows. If someone wrote a virus that exploited a security hole in Mac OS (other than a stupid user saying "yes" and typing in their password to install some piece of spyware or whatever), Apple would fix the OS, not turn to Norton or McAfee to write a piece of sluggish, bloated software to "protect" the system.
That was a very strange experience. I idly clicked this article and almost shat myself when I saw SpinJay.com at #2, the site I built as a side project last year. Cool stuff.
